This project is for preventing women and children from trafficking victims. In the works, sustainable empowerment of community and community based initiation on the human trafficking is taking place in twenty five villages in Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur district. Further another 60 villages are to be taken for the programme for the next three years in the two districts with some modification and new programme by the succession and sustainability of first phase models project.
In the project areas, 2742 girls and women were identified under the risk of trafficking, who are freed / prevented from the risk of the trafficking.
Out of 1226 trafficked and engaged, 455 trafficked girls and women were retrieved from the trafficking areas /spots. ROSI Foundation is providing training to 165 of them under training of Skill / Livelihoods programme and 22 of them have been rehabilitated by IGP provision. Remaining are to be supported by training, education and IGP programme.

25 people committees are as strengthened in the project villages that all are in functioning on prevention and retrieving works in sustainable manner. |
