The women belonging to very poor families are under various exploitations and deprivations at their work place and home. Money lender dependence and debt are 2 major problems amongst them. Providing food and education to their children and facing social isolation are also challenges.
Skill training in tailoring, Jute bag making, computer, MASALA and simple chemicals are provided to youth and women. After the training, some of them are provided by IGP input and remaining are linked with financial / development institutions under various scheme for their self employment and employment.
After the provisions, they are freed from the grasp of money lenders. They have strengthened their skills in functioning as a group. Oppression from family and community has reduced. They are doing business and earning for themselves and their families. |
