Skill/Livelihoods Training

Poor women are completely isolated from the relations and community. They have young children. Mostly they have not had any skills. Poverty, hunger and sexual exploitation are a tragedy of life for them and children. ROSI Foundation trained them in skill training like Jute bag making, tailoring and other livelihoods trades. They are come under Counseling in legal and gender matters and motivation on human rights, health, etc. some of them were provided to Income generation and self employment inputs freely. They are earning from jute bag production, tailoring and other income generation activities. They are become independence and self dependence. Their exploitation, isolation and poverty have reduced. A life of dignity is now theirs.

In the works, another two hindered beneficiaries (widows/destitute) have been identified and are under Jute bag making training. They are required to be provided by income generation input –Sewing Machine.

The women belonging to very poor families are under various exploitations and deprivations at their work place and home. Money lender dependence and debt are 2 major problems amongst them. Providing food and education to their children and facing social isolation are also challenges.

Skill training in tailoring, Jute bag making, computer, MASALA and simple chemicals are provided to youth and women. After the training, some of them are provided by IGP input and remaining are linked with financial / development institutions under various scheme for their self employment and employment.  

After the provisions, they are freed from the grasp of money lenders. They have strengthened their skills in functioning as a group. Oppression from family and community has reduced. They are doing business and earning for themselves and their families.
